Course Overview

The course is aimed at kick-starting your personal development plan into the art of Computer Maintenance & Upgrading. The course offers full practical hands on demonstrations with plenty of supporting course literature.

Students will learn about industry standard hardware systems and components including CPUs, system memory, video adapters, sound cards, storage drives, network adapters, internal and external modems, as well as expansion technologies such as PCI, SCSI, USB, AGP and Firewire. Students will also be introduced to and practice standard PC support techniques with special regard to personal safety and system reliability.
